Connecting to the Server with Fetch (Macintosh)
As CuteFTP does not exist for the Macintosh operating system, we must use another software:
Fetch. It is one of the most effective FTP clients on the Web. You will find it on its editor's Web site:
Fetch Softworks.
Once the program installation is completed, the connection to the server is a simple process:
- Start Fetch.

As soon it executes, Fetch asks for the required connection information:

- Fill in the Host field with the FTP address your hosting provider gave you.

- Enter in the User ID and Password fields the login user id and password for authentication by your provider.

- Click on the OK button.

You are now connected to your personal hosting space.

The Fetch's user interface is divided into three parts:
- On the lefthand side, you see the content of your hosting area.

- In the middle, two buttons enable the file transfer from your hard drive to your provider's hosting server.

- On the righthand side, you can see the current connection status. This section of the window shows all current transfers.

And this is exactly what we are ready to do now: upload your Web site to your hosting server.
