Choosing Automatic Submission Software

When choosing an automatic submission service, you should consider the following criteria:

  • The quality of the directories and search engines selected.

  • The update frequency of the software. Directories and search engines are constantly evolving and changing. Does the software keep up with these changes?

  • Is the choice of categories wide enough or does the software only take general categories into account?

  • The categories must at least be specific to the various directories. If the submission software recognises only one series of categories for all the directories, the reject ratio will be very high.

You should bear in mind that even though your website is submitted automatically, it is reviewed by human eyes which are likely to respond unfavourably to the registering request if the selected categories are not valid ones within the directory.

  • And, lastly, try to find out if the software offers a feature which ascertains whether the website has been correctly registered in the different directories and search engines.

To ascertain whether the proposed categories are appropriate for your website, take a look at the list proposed by the software and compare it with the actual categories of one or two listed directories.
