DHTML : Step 1: Laying the foundations
Dr Benton
This workshop is the first of a three-workshop series aimed at teaching you how to create terrific menus using DHTML. Imagine
a drop-down menu with sub-menus popping open when the mouse pointer hovers over the items and where item selection highlights
icons...
check it out for yourself!
The goal of this workshop is to lay the foundations for our menu. We will explore its working principles and write the basic
page. A second step will be devoted to animating the menu, i.e. to the DHTML code that will put it into action. If you encounter
some difficulties during this journey, don't give up! Just jump directly to the third step of our menu creation procedure.
You will be guided through the customising process to adapt the dynamic menu to your needs, your expectations, your taste...
All this, even though you will not understand everything at first go.
