As for the skills required, it is illusory to want to use DTHML without having a basic knowledge of HTML. Some knowledge of JavaScript, or possibly of a programming language, is also advisable. Having said this, nothing is mandatory. Read our units dedicated to DHTML at your own pace and you will succeed.

As for tools for creating dynamic pages, you can use the same software as for creating static pages. A text editor (such as Notepad on Windows or BBEdit on Macintosh) will suffice. If you use editors, you will have to hack your code manually. Most editors do not support DHTML and, when they do, this support is not complete.
