All the elements on a page can then be altered. You can move images, animate them and apply special effects to them. You can
also implement interactivity by adding buttons which, for instance, can reveal or hide a section of a page. You have probably
already seen drop-down navigation menus that open when the mouse pointer hovers over them. Here again, DHTML underlies such
effects.
In short, you can alter all or part of a page on the fly. With DHTML, a site can look like an interactive CD-ROM. The interface
can be changed at will.
