Discovering the Interface

Have you installed the demo version? So follow the guide for the first manipulations.

At start-up, a dialog box appears over the interface to prompt you to select the Song to use for your remix:

  • If you use the demo version, you have no other choice than to use the Song Trance Demo.

  • If you have the complete version, click on the CD button to select a Song on the GrooveMaker CD.

  • Figure 1: Importing a Song into GrooveMaker 2.0

Once the Song has been validated (Load button), you enter the main program's interface.

It appears as a wheel divided into eight parts, figuring the eight audio tracks allowed to play simultaneously. The buttons on top of the wheel can be used to mute one or several tracks to make adjustments.

Three settings are possible on each of the tracks through three sliders located at the bottom of the wheel on the right-hand side:

  • Panning adjustment (where notes are played in the stereo soundfield) via through the Pan command.

  • Tempo adjustment through the Bpm command.

  • Volume adjustment through the Vol command.
