Encoding an Audio CD Track under Windows

The procedure is almost the same as for WAV encoding:

  1. Insert your CD in your drive.

  2. Open the Easy CD DA Extractor application.

  3. In the first window which appears, you can view all the tracks of the CD.

  4. Select the tracks you want to encode by checking the appropriate fields.

  5. Select Action > Extract the selected tracks.

  6. A new dialog box appears with encoding options. Set the same options as for a WAV file encoding into MP3.

  7. Click on Start

Figure 5: The encoding procedures with a CD DA Extractor are fairly simple

A long lasting process. Encoding a complete CD can be time-consuming, depending on the computer power, the number of tracks to be processed, and the average length of the pieces.
