Flash : Adding a soundtrack to a movie
Emmanuel Deruty
A few musical considerations
It is very easy to add a musical background to a Flash animation, provided you take a few precautions.
You may even want to use a melody that plays during the user's entire visit. But a musical excerpt lasting several minutes
is out of the question, as it would slow the file down too much!
The best solution is to choose a short excerpt (a few seconds long) and set it to play back as a loop in Flash. The only difficulty
is finding a sequence that supports loop playback without the user having to put up with a clear break when the loop starts
again. This can be done using a software such as
SoundForge.
