Animations Within Other Animations
Animations can be incorporated into other animations, like Russian dolls. This is all down to the ingenuity and power of Flash!
You have now learnt how to create an animation on the main stage. You can also create an animation directly in the library. It then becomes an autonomous component which you can place on the main stage and animate as you think fit.
Your animation will not only be played back, but will also move as defined by your main animation.
For this purpose, just create a new symbol and give it the appropriate property. Then proceed as follows using the library:
- Create a new symbol and give it the property Movie Clip.
The new symbol will appear in the library, with its icon showing that it is a movie clip. - On the library's stage, create your animation as you would do on the main stage.
- Place this new component on the main stage and animate it as you would do for a static component.
