Animating the Image

At this stage, you will have positioned Jojo at its starting point, defined the property of the keyframe, and set the animation length. Now you need to define Jojo's ending point in order to have all the necessary playback parameters in place.

Watch your position. Always pay attention to the playhead position in the timeline. It indicates the frame you are working on.

You can move it through the timeline in order to preview a defined movement. But before doing this, don't forget to position it on the appropriate frame.

In the current status, Jojo stays motionless when you move the playhead. This is because our animation is still missing another keyframe for the ending point which must be different from the starting point:

  1. Position the playhead at the end of the animation.

  2. Click on the Jojo image on the stage and move it to the left (as you did in the section Positioning Jojo on the Stage).

  3. Now move the playhead to move Jojo from the right to the left and vice-versa. The animation speed is determined by the mouse movement.

You can now vary the animation by adding keyframes in the timeline and defining a different position for Jojo in each keyframe. This way, you can create new paths. Don't hesitate to increase the animation length to obtain diversified paths.
