Placing Jojo on the Stage

In this workshop, we will guide you through the process of animating Jojo. Animating a library item can be broken down into the following steps:

  • place the symbol on the stage

  • position the item on the stage

  • assign a property to the image

  • define the animation length by creating a keyframe

  • move a frame

This first step is simple. We will begin by placing "jojo1" on the stage:

  1. Display the library and select Jojo. He appears in the library preview area.

  2. Click in this area while holding down the button.

  3. Then drag our component anywhere onto the stage.

  4. As there is no other layer, Jojo is automatically positioned on "Layer 1".

  5. Rename the layer to give it a descriptive name. For this purpose, double-click on "Layer 1" in the timeline and type in a new name; we are using "jojo 1".
