Flash : Movies should keep to a diet

Incorporating files in GIF and JPEG format tends to increase the movie size.
If photos are needed, here is some advice you can follow:
- Avoid animating them.

Animating photos requires a lot of processor resources and can hinder the flow of the movie as a whole.
- Compress the photos as much as possible - inside Flash, too.

Select Options > Properties from the Library window to convert your images into GIF or PNG format, or to compress the JPG
images again.

- When creating images, scale them appropriately, keeping only the useful elements and deleting all the unnecessary pixels.

A last piece of advice - and the most logical one. If your Flash movie is a photo gallery, find a way to design it using JavaScript
or DHTML. It will be smaller and quicker to download!
