Flash : Steps to take when creating Flash animation

Timeline and Scenes
The timeline forms a visual picture of what is happening with time. The layers created are positioned and moved in the timeline.
You can quickly spot the different key moments in the animation ... Frame 1, the animation begins here. The dog crosses the
screen. Frame 15, the dog stops. The car comes along, moving from right to left, and ...
BAM goes the dog! Frame 20, end of the animation!
But don't worry, time can be stretched in Flash. You just need to move the layer containing the dog so that the car passes
it by.
PHEW the dog has escaped!
Figure 4: The various layers are positioned on the timeline.
The stage is the screen area on which you watch the final movie.
A movie is normally composed of several scenes, to simplify the defining and handling of complex animations, that are subsequently
put together. For instance, you can decide that scene 3 starts when scene 1 ends.
Be provident. Before creating an animated sequence, define how it is to be cut up into scenes and how they are to be linked together.
