Try this effect by modifying the pattern layer mode and adjusting the thickness of the pattern lines. For instance, you can
obtain the following result by using the Overlay mode:

If you want to modify the thickness of the lines, select Image > Image Size, while paying attention to the following options:
- Uncheck the Constrain Proportions box.

- Double the Height value in the Pixel dimensions area.

- Make sure that you have chosen the Nearest Neighbour option in the Resample Image box.

Your lines will be smooth if you maintain the default Bicubic setting.

To create a goffered fabric pattern, use two shades of blue instead of black and white when you create the pattern. After
you have filled the layer with the pattern, using the Edit > Transform > Numeric command to rotate the pattern by 30°.
