The First Glowing Light

We are going to apply three types of glowing light. The first, white, wraps closest around the letters. A second, yellowish light stretches around the first light. The last green light will form a real halo around the title.

1. Duplicate the Text layer, rename the new layer White and place it below the Text layer.
   
   
2. Ctrl-click on the White layer in the Layers palette to select all its pixels.
   
   
3. Choose Select > Modify > Expand and apply a value of 3 pixels.
   
   
4. Choose Select > Feather and apply a value of 2 pixels.
   
   
5. Fill the selection with white, then deselect.
