Positioning the Text

To start with, type the word you want. And without any spelling errors, please!

  1. Create a new document (File > New) after having made sure that the background colour in the tools palette is set to black.

  2. Then, in the dialog box, select Mode: Greyscale and Fill with: Background colour.

  3. Create your word in white using the Type tool.

  4. Leave a little space in the image above the word for the flames.



Figure 2: Use a chunky font and leave some room above the text.

The right font. Use a relatively chunky font for your text, such as Arial Black or Helvetica Black, for instance.
