Photoshop : Ice Effects for Refreshing Text
Daniel Garrance
Adding Colours
The text has now taken on its final form, all that is lacking is to give it colour. To do this, you can choose between the
Hue/Saturation, Levels and Curves functions. In this case, we are going to use Curves as they allow us to obtain the finest
results. And working with them is not as complicated as you may think.
- Select Image > Adjust > Curves.

The Curves dialog box opens up.
- Choose Blue in the Channel pull-down menu.

- Place the mouse pointer on the middle of the diagonal line: it takes on the form of a cross. Click and drag this cross towards
the top left without releasing the mouse button.

The grey shades in the image immediately assume a bluish hue. By modifying the Blue channel curve, you have actually increased
the amount of blue in the image's medium shades (greys) without modifying the white or the black.

- You can also choose Green in the Channel pull-down menu and repeat the previous step to obtain a brighter, colder blue.
