Applying Textures to a Photo
The textures we have created will produce can be applied to photos, for greater effect:
- Open the photo that you want to apply the texture on.

- Create a new layer on this photo.

- Create your texture (fabric or stone) on this new layer using the techniques described above.

- Set the mode for this layer to Overlay.

Try another mode if you don't like this one. The Exclusion mode also produces some very pleasant results.
Oddly enough, a stone texture can give a crumpled paper aspect to a photo:
