The Chrome Effect

Once these preliminary steps have been completed, you can (finally) apply the chrome effect.

  1. Select Image > Adjust > Curves.

  2. In the Curves dialog box, select a point anywhere on the diagonal line, then drag it either upwards or downwards.

  3. Repeat this action several times, so as to obtain a zigzag line. You can also move the existing black squares by dragging them.

  4. The text in the image is starting to take on a chrome look.

  6. Click on OK when you are happy with the result.
