Saving Files

All you have to do now is to save your masterpiece. Select the command File > Save, then give a name to your file and save it in Photoshop format (PSD). Now you have a copy of your button that you can modify. Don't close the file yet.

If you want to save a "Web" version of your button, the procedure differs depending on the copy of Photoshop you have.

To save a file in JPEG format:

1. Select the command File > Save a copy as.
   
   
2. This time, select the JPEG save format and click on Save.
   
   
3. Enter the settings you prefer in the JPEG Options dialog box, then click on OK.
   
   

To save a file in GIF format:

1. Select File > Export > Export GIF 89a.
   
   
2. Click on Preview in the dialog box that appears to have a preview of your image.
   
   
3. Assign a name to the file and save.

1. Select File > Save for the Web.
   
   
2. Define the settings in the dialog box that appears.
   
   
3. Save!
