A Layer For the Button

Unless you are quite happy with a plain white background, you now need to give a little colour to your button. Here's how:

1. Click on the Layers tab in order to display the Layers palette. Then click on the Background layer.
   
   
2. Click on the new layer button.

3. Click on the set foreground colour square on the tools palette and choose a colour from the Select colour menu.

4. Hold down the Alt-Del keys (Windows) or Opt-Backspace (Mac) keys to fill the layer with the foreground colour.
   
   

The button is starting to take shape, but it is still rather flat ...
