Special Effects Instantly
You can content yourself with using flat, plain colour text and buttons. But seeing as Photoshop lets you create embossed
and volume effects, why do without?
There is one condition you have to respect if you want to create these effects: the corresponding image has to be placed on
a transparent layer, as is the case, for example, with text created using the Type tool.
You can create cut-out and embossed text and images, with or without drop shadows or a coloured halo. It goes without saying
that you can customize all these effects as you please.
Figure 2: It is really easy to create special effects with Photoshop.
Better still, you can decide to modify or cancel these special effects whenever you want, or change from a volume effect to
a drop shadow, without affecting the rest of the image.
