Palettes
Palettes have a double function. They allow the user both to visualize various details about an open file and to modify tool
settings.

You will find three palettes particularly useful:
- the Layers palette, which we have already mentioned;

- the Options palette, which allows you to modify the options of the selected tool;

- the Styles palette, which allows you to choose the style to apply to a drawing tool.
