Paint Shop Pro : Colourization: sepia toning for retro-style photos

While the cuttlefish's bones make canaries very happy, and its flesh delights many a gourmet, the colouring matter that it
secretes - sepia - is used by painters to do wash drawings. It is also a colouring bath that was very much appreciated in
the old days for staining - that is to say, toning - photos. Computer graphics now allows you to tone a photo quickly without
you having to put on your fishing clothes.
Take a look at the figure below. The photo on the left shows the pilot of a Fokker DR-1 (a plane from the First World War),
photographed at an air display. Processing the colours with sepia toning (photo on the right) will give the idea of an authentic
period photo.
