Silhouetting the Button

Now we have to make the edges of the button transparent:

1. Select Colours, Set Palette Transparency.
   
   
Accept the default optimization suggestion.


2. Check the Set the transparency value to the current background colour option.
   
   
3. Click on OK to accept the transparency colour.
   
   
4. Save the finished image in GIF format (thus accepting the inevitable reduction to 256 colours).
   
   

You can now place your buttons on your Web pages, or add text to them using the text tool.
