Image thumbnail and selecting the zone to be scanned

If you have already used your scanner, a thumbnail of the last image you scanned will be displayed in the scanner interface. If not, the interface will be empty.

In either case, place the document you would like to digitize on the scanner glass (as straight as possible!), then click on the framing button that has one of the following labels: Framing, Thumbnail or Preview. After a few minutes, you will see a small display of your image.

Next select the zone to be scanned by using the selection tool (this is normally presented as a dotted rectangle). Slide the tool in order to design a rectangle around your image. Refine the selection by sliding the edges.
